This is a typical S set lid. The lid shown with the above S set has no picture. This set was a Dealer's S set. I am told that hobby shops were given this set first to display in their stores and then were to take orders for the new S sets about to be released by Schuco.

NEW FIND--Here is a S set with a black box! I have seen two sets with this box.. Please contact me if you have any more information on this style of box. Was it ever used on an American Set or Gift Set? The black paper is the same texture as the red. The yellow insert inside is made of a thicker plastic and does not have the cardboard supports. It is holding up much better than the usual S set or early G set inserts.

NEW FIND--Thanks to a S set owner from Sweden for sending a picture of his 6333S set!!! He was given this set as a child and kept it in great condition. Notice the graphic on the lid. There is no graphic showing the switches, block signals, and the layouts that can be made. The English translation manual which goes to the 16 paged German manual indicates this may be one of the first S sets made by Schuco. Later, the 24 paged manual would be included with the S set.
